, good morning everyone. mitt romney joins paul ryan on a bus tour through ohio as part of an effort to refocus his campaign message. ryan kicked off a three-day tour with an event in lima and they'll campaign together in central ohio. romney wraps it up tuesday with an event in cleveland. ohio is perhaps the most critical swing state with 18 electoral votes. romney losing ohio would mean he has no shot at the white house. that does follow suit with history. no republican candidate has ever become president without carrying ohio. recent polls show romney is down in the state by anywhere from 4 to 7 points against the president. so he's not doing great in ohio but he's faring well financially after a trip to los angeles over the weekend. romney brought in $6 million in just one night at a fund-raiser in beverly hills where about 1500 people paid up to $50,000 each to see the candidate speak. ann romney ran into a little trouble when her plane had to make an emergency landing this weekend. she is safe and soun
